Item Search Basic Search Use the basic search option to quickly search eBay with 2 simply steps! Enter your keyword(s), select the search condition from the listbox and if you want more search results check the 'in titles and descriptions' checkbox. Advanced Search Here you can refine your search options. For example, you can search completed items in a certain price range. You can also select item location options as well as list sorting options. The advanced search tool is very useful to narrow down your search results to save time...and remember your time means money! Category Search This is my favorite, simply enter a category number and Hot Item Finder will search the entire category returning all the hot items! PLUS, you can search completed items for each category. This can show you all the hot items that have previously sold in those corresponding categories.

Hot Item List Generator Basic Hot List Options After you perform one of the item search options, you are redirected to the Hot Item List generator section. By default the basic hot list options window appears and you must enter the total number of pages you want Hot Item Finder to search as well as the number of bids per Hot Item. In the screenshot, a category search was initiated for the 'Antiques' ebay.com category and 4312 pages containing 50 auction listings were found. See below for results... Advanced Hot List Options You can also use the advanced hot list options just before the hot item list is generated. Here you can select the page range, bid range, price range, and date ending range. The most important feature here is the page range. Say your search returned 3000 pages and you only searched the first 500. You can simply continue the search later and start it at page 500. Hot Item List Here is a screenshot of a hot item list generated from the 'Antiques' category. Only the first 100 out of 4312 pages were searched where each hot item must contain greater than 20 bids. As a result Hot Item Finder uncovered 111 hot items for this small search in only a few minutes!...cool hey? Plus, you can save your hot item list as a text, comma delimited, Excel, or HTML file. Hot List Reports Hit Count Report The hit count report feature is great for visually determining the hit count numbers for your hot item lists. After you generate your hot item list, simply select the hit count report option from the report button and a report is generated displaying the hit count images for each of your hot items. Note that some auctions do not have a hit count image, therefore they will not show up in the hit count report. You can use the hit count report to see which auctions in your hot item list are attracting the most hits, then you can adopt the eBay users methods to improve your auction listings. Word Count Report This is a very powerful tool and is often overlooked...this report will reveal the "value" of the individual words in your hot item list auction titles. What I mean by "value" is, how valuable or "profit pulling" are the words in the action titles. The report generates a list of all the words contained in your hot item list and then displays the number of time the words appear in the auction titles. It also shows the number of bids that correspond to each word. Then if a given word is displayed only a few times but was contained in auction titles that generate lots of hits then that word is valuable and therefore profit pulling. i.e. the words with lower bids/occurrences are more valuable. Therefore, include these type of words in your auction titles and watch your auction hits turn to profit!

Analysis Category Analyze all of the main eBay categories. View exactly how many items are listed in each category for both eBay.com and eBay.co.uk in a few seconds. Use this tool to determine which category to list your item in. Generally the categories with greater number of listings attract more searches and potential auction hits.
